Kate Matsumoto is a loud and proud fourth generation yonsei Japanese American born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She grew up begrudgingly playing Asian league basketball to please her parents and rocked a slick bowl cut from 1996-1997. After going to college and living in San Francisco, she now lives in Brooklyn where she is learning to apologize less.
Yoko was born and raised in New York City, to Japanese immigrants—her mom traveled the world and met her dad, who had moved to NYC after falling in love with the city portrayed in West Side Story. After a few formative college years in Los Angeles, Yoko came back to the east coast and now resides in Brooklyn.
